Support Groups
Addiction is a disease of isolation. Seek support!
AlAnon / NarAnon - Both of these programs follow the same Twelve Steps and Traditions as AA. They are one way parents “work a program” just as our children are encouraged to do. Local and virtual meeting lists can be found on line by searching AlAnon or NarAnon. NarAnon is for families of people addicted to narcotics but in recovery, alcohol and drugs are all the same so AlAnon is totally appropriate and probably more available to parents whose children’s drug of choice is alcohol or anything else.
Recovering Peace Parent Support Group - A group of parents supporting parents, meeting twice a month, facilitated by me.
